Frequently Asked Questions
The 0.2 µm filter is made of PP (housing) and PTEE (membrane). The 0.45 filter is made of PVC (housing) and PTEE (membrane).
Yes, pore widths of 0.3 µm and 0.2 µm may also be used. This has only a minimal effect on aspirating and dispensing speeds. When purchasing, please note the shape of the filter connections; double-sided Male Luer Slip (MLS).
Yes. We can provide you with a certificate for either the 0.2 or 0.45 µm membrane filter.
Yes. The Easypet filter is made of PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) and is hydrophobic.
Please check that the pipette is pushed far enough into the adapter of Easypet. Also check that the adapter or the pipette is not damaged.
Please check that the adapter is not damaged in any way. The pipette might not be pushed far enough into the adapter.
Reduced suction capacity may be caused by a wetted membrane filter.
The nose cone and the adapters are autoclavable.
Yes. The device is even recharged during the pipetting process.
Lithium polymer batteries are used in Easypet.
A fully charged battery can be used for approximately 6 hours or for over 2000 cycles of aspiration and dispensing of a 25 ml pipette.
Up to 500 charging cycles can be carried out when charging is carried out according to instructions.
Easypet can be used for liquids at this temperature, incl. its silicone adapter, and filter.
Liquids which give off vapours that attack silicon, NBR, ABS (Acryl Nitrile-Butadene-Styrol-Copolymer), POM (Polyoxymethylene), or PVDF (Polyvinylidenfluoride).
Flow out: press bottom button without activating the pump. Dispensing speed is regulated by varying the finger pressure. Blow out: push bottom button in completely. The pump switches on and the liquid is blown out.
This depends on the dispensing technique used. For liquid dispensing without a pump, it is possible to carry out 2,000 cycles. With a pump, only 650 are possible.
The wall holder has a Velcro strip that is pressed onto the wall after the protective film has been removed. The wall holder can be pulled off sideways from the Velcro.
The serial number is affixed to the lower backside of the handle of the Easypet 3.
No, the residual liquid has to be dispensed by using the blow out.
The backlit LEDs show the battery status when you press either the aspiration or dispensing button. When all 3 LEDs light up, the battery is fully charged.
Immediately after the Easypet 3 has been fully charged, all 3 LEDs will light up for 30 sec. All LEDs then go out and will only light up when the aspiration or dispensing button is pressed.
With the Easypet 3, speed adjustment is regulated simply with the tips of your fingers: The stronger you press the button, the faster the speed for aspirating or dispensing.
You can use the shelf stand that is provided in the pack. By attaching it to the back of the Easypet 3, you can park the Easypet 3 without contaminating the attached pipette. Note that the shelf stand is not provided in the U.S..
The Easypet 3 contains an RFID chip which contains the serial number of the device. This chip can only be read with our TrackIt software.
Yes, you can order a new battery compartment lid: Order No. 4430 602.000 (international and North America Order No.).
